Beginning in August, all schools at DMPS will have new hours. The new hours at our school will be 7:30 AM to 2:25 PM. The change is being made to better serve the educational needs of students, based on research into the sleep patterns of children and teenagers. Click the headline for more information.

On April 19th, from 4:30- 7:30pm, there will be a Family Night at Blank Park Zoo for Morris families.  Please join us for a fun filled evening including a scavenger hunt!  Free admission for all.

All DMPS elementary schools will have the same hours next year.  Please read the article about how school hours impact learning on the DMPS website.  Beginning next fall, the hours for Morris will change as follows: Regular student day hours 7:30-2:25.  Wednesday early dismissal hours 7:30-1:10.

Four students from Morris participated in a recent Battle of the Books competition.  Students read books and then demonstrate their knowledge of what they have read.  The Morris team won 2nd place in the regional contest.  We are very proud of these outstanding students.  Congratulations!
