My name is Stephanie Jensen and I have been teaching at Morris since 2010. I attended the University of Northern Iowa (Go Panthers!) and received my BA in Elementary Education with a Literacy Minor. When I am not teaching, I enjoy running, riding my bike, playing with my Yorkie Poo, Thor, and decorating cakes. I love being a Kindergarten teacher because I am amazed at how much my students learn from the beginning of the year to the end!
My name is Jennifer Wilson and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Morris Elementary School. I have been teaching for the Des Moines Public School District for ten years. This is my 5th year at Morris Elementary, and my 2nd year teaching kindergarten. Previously I taught Deaf Education to 4 and 5 year olds, 1st grade, Reading Recovery, and Interventions to K-5th graders.
I graduated from Graceland University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in reading. I also have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa. Most recently I completed my Master’s Degree in Literacy from Graceland University.
I have been married to my husband Brian for 17 years. We have two children Sawyer age 12½ and Emma age 11. We live in Waukee with our two dogs Charlie and Toby.
I love working with children and look forward to the unique learning opportunities that we will experience this year. If you have any question or concerns, please call me at school (242-8421) or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org).
