Future Lawmakers at Morris Elementary School

Future lawmakers at morris 51985005398 oAfter both legislative chambers of the 4th grade senate and house made amendments to their legislation, Principal Sherry Amos signed two bills into Morris law Monday afternoon. Thanks to a visit from Capitol Tour Guides, students at Morris Elementary School learned how a bill becomes a law through the Future Lawmakers program. As the Iowa legislative session comes to an end at the Iowa Capitol, the timely lessons at Morris aligned with EL curriculum and social studies standards.
